NCBC Player Yvonne Ejim Makes National Team

Yvonne Ejim has been playing basketball with NCBC Thunder for the past six years, as well as other clubs throughout the city. We are very proud to have watched her grow into a very talented basketball player with great leadership, sportsmanship, and work ethic.
 
We are very excited to announce that Yvonne has been selected to play for Team Canada’s U16 team for the upcoming season.
 
Yvonne will travel to Argentina for the FIBA U16 Women's Americas Championship taking place June 7th to the 11th.
 
Yvonne will also be a member of the U17 Alberta Provincial Team this summer competing at the Canada Summer Games in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

In her first time with the Cadette National Team, Yvonne played in all 5 games, and averaged 15 minutes per game.

Canada took home silver this summer at the 2017 FIBA U16 Women’s Americas Championship and qualified for their fifth consequetive 2018 FIBA U17 World Cup.
Yvonne Ejim, played for NCBC Thunder and Calgary Minor Basketball for a number of years. She has been participating the last couple of years at the provinical level, to make the Womens National U16/U17 Cadet Team, playing internationally over the summer.
