NCBC has received approval with Volunteer Alberta and Calgary Police Services for a fee waiver voucher to aid with the volunteer screening process for the Coach ID card program.
Please know that when completing the form, applicant use in the position field is "Coach", no other position is acceptable for this fee waiver.*
To receive a voucher please write to registrar@thunderbasketball.ca indicating in the subject heading your team (example GU18-1), the in body of the email give your full name (example John Smith), and also note the email address you want used (example johnsmith@abc.ca) for the VSPN voucher.
Once we have issued a voucher you will receive an email inviting you to apply for a Police Information Check. Please reference the VSPN Volunteer Instructions to help ensure you complete a accurate and successful application.
*If you are a manager you are only able to utilizing this VSPN form by registering and completing the Coach ID card program - you must register as a Coach
Holding the title of coach sets you to the same standards, as well as affords your team the option/opportunity to have you sit the bench/share duties if/as needed for your team.
