Divisions - Teams

Teams are tiered to find peer-to-peer play against other Zone teams in CMBA. Through that game play teams may shift brackets, meaning that just because you are Team 6, your team might find better competition in division 4 and could still play a Team 2 from another Zone. Again, the aim is to find competitive teams, and successively games that offer best match ups. So knowing that, please do not focus on teams/divisions, but instead dial in on your own team, how to grow and develop with them, and help us all make the season successful.

CMBA coaching clinics - registration will be released once it is available from CMBA.

If you THINK you might coach, sign up! We need volunteer coaches, and these will not be determined until later. So worse case scenario in doing a clinic, you do not coach, but have gained a little more basketball knowledge!

All coaches come out with only the best of intentions and parallel to that thought, CMBA wants to make sure you have the foundational tools to build off of... plus keep in mind this sport evolves! With that thought in mind it is also a moment to reiterate that CMBA ball is based on the Canadian style of play.... what does that mean?!? Perfect, you register, take the FREE course and learn it, to implement it! Click here to register.

CMBA has been at the leading edge of offering the most up-to-date and well researched youth sports development models to their coaches. The concepts and ideas presented in the CMBA Coach Development clinics has resulted in exciting success - the feedback provided by coaches attest to this fact. Years of research & development in youth sports has resulted in proven teaching techniques, proven decision-making processes and proven Style of Play concepts that coaches are encouraged to utilize. CMBA has embraced these best-in-class concepts and the results speak for themselves.

Canada Basketball's Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) Model, Rick Torbett's Read & React Offense and Point Guard College's concepts to develop players are all utilized in CMBA's Fall CD Program.

All Tykes players will have received their TeamSnap invite. TeamSnap is a free app, you will want to make sure you have logged in and turned on notifications to avoid missing anything as it will be our main platform to connect on throughout the season of play.

Players will have received their basketball on the first night, and we have jerseys that are anticipated to arrive before the end of September to have them all looking fresh!

Thunder apparel - optional Ts and Hoodies

We have ordered a few additional Thunder city Ts and/or hoodies.... so there will be a limited opportunity for purchase that we will announce late September!
